happy 4th of july

Happy 4th of JulY!

Here are American pubs and restaraunts in London that are hosting events today.

Sadly, do not appear to be fireworks that I am aware of happening today in London. There were however, fighter jets flying overhead that had trailing smoke in red, white and blue. Woohhoo!

I have only found a Democrats drink related event in Leeds.

This weekend I went to West Ruislip to the Navy Base there and we drank Budweiser, ate chili dogs and watched fireworks. Sadly, it was mostly Brits there, but I appreciated the effort.

And a little about the holiday from the US State Department website....

and just a couple more...

A couple more photos of the walk in Marlow. The last one where we look like we are crying is where we are laughing to hard, we were actually crying. Sounds stupid now, but we thought it would be much better if people say, "Wooohah!" at the end of a prayer instead of "amen".

walkin in marlow

My friends and I have been continuing our country walks. Today's was a circular walk around Marlow. We walked down the Thames Path then continued on the walk through the woods and back to Marlow. Here are the photos.

post-birthday

I had a great birthday. My boss, along with some of my co-workers, came along with me to meet up with my friends. My friends, John and Amy, gave me a gay male DVD entitled "Lumberjackin'". I am sure you can figure out the premise of the film. I then defended my gay male porn to my boss. One man good, two men better, a camp of Lumberjacks - fabulous! (ohhhhhh, I had so much to drink.)

It was a long and drunk evening. I had a lot of fun. I laughed a lot and wore strappy gold shoes.

This morning. I put on a cute outfit and listened to Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper" on the way to work. I think 30 is going to be fine.
